ABOUT CAMP

Camp Enchantment, or Camp E, is a week long camp for children who have or had cancer. Camp is what all of the counselors, staff and campers dream about all year long. For the campers it is a place where they can be who they really are. They can be kids. Our staff is made of predominantly volunteers from all over the United States.

TUESDAY!

WE ARE HAPPY!!! The weather today was BEAUTIFUL! Also we woke up to fabulous camp coverage in the Albuquerque Journal. Two separate articles! Needless to say we have a few camp celebrities today and Counselor Tito said he will sign autographs!
Today was full of all sorts of outdoor activities! The weather finally cooperated and the kiddos were able to go fishing, mountain biking, kayaking and swimming. The teens also got to do the high ropes course today. It was a three element course with a zip line at the end. They also did a separate element called "The Leap of Faith" or "The Power Pole." We will let the photos do the explaining!
This afternoon we all went swimming and had such a blast playing in the water! After swimming the kids had down time in their cabin, which included showers and naps for most of the campers. They had to rest up for the carnival this evening. There were bouncy houses, jousting, racing and other carnival games and lots of prizes to be won!
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.......Now it is time for sleeping bags and sweet dreams because tomorrow is an early morning with hot air balloons, hot chocolate and Frontier cinnamon rolls.
